Who is Mi Casa Studios?

Mi Casa Studios is a home base for content creators, tastemakers, and creative entrepreneurs. We nurture our members and provide fertile ground for ideas to grow. Mi Casa Studios has been an avid supporter of the community by coordinating food drives, coat drives, uplifting community businesses, creating platforms for up and coming artists, and giving out crucial resources to creatives.

What is El Bloque?

“El Bloque” (The Block in Spanish) Powered by Mi Casa Studios is a weekly outdoor community block party. This will be a weekly celebration full of community, art and culture. Join us for educational, fitness and music activities for the community all summer long on North 6 Street between Bedford Avenue and Berry Street!

Significance of El Bloque?

“El Bloque” means The Block in Spanish which is a fond way of referring to a block in the neighborhood. This is an ode to Mi Casa Studios' leadership's roots in the Latinx community as well as NYC ♡

How to get involved?

We are passionate about what we create and attract others like us. If you have interest in volunteering, teaching a fitness class or providing educational resources to the community fill out the form or get in touch with us at elbloque@mi-casa.us and tell us more about you and how you would like to take part!

What is NYC’s Open Culture Program?

Open Culture is a new permit type available from the Mayor’s Street Activity Permit Office allowing for ticketed performances. Arts and cultural institutions, as well as entertainment venues, will have the opportunity to secure a permit at almost 200 street locations throughout all five boroughs.

All New York City Covid rules and regulations apply. If you are not vaccinated we kindly ask that you wear a face mask and socially distance yourself from others.
